EDI Ultrapure Water Machine

 

 

 

EDI PROCESS:
EDI removes ions from water using conventional ion-exchange resins, but the resins need no chemicals for regeneration. In EDI, an electrical current is used to force a continuous migration of ions out of the feed water, through the resin bed, into the reject stream. The current also splits the water molecules into hydrogen and hydroxyl ions, and those ions continuously regenerate the resin bed.

EDI replaces the primary mixed-bed in conventional water treatment systems, predictable or consistently producing water of the highest quality.

The following requirements are the barriers that an EDI system may work properly,more restrict conditions should be considered when possible.

 


1.Feed water: softened single pass reverse osmosis permeate water or permeate from double pass reverse osmosis.

2.Feed water conductivity : 1-40(µs/cm).   TEA(Total Exchangeable Anion)<25ppm(as CaCO3). TEC(Total Exchangeable Cation)<25ppm(as CaCO3).

3.pH:6.0-9.0

4.Temperature:5-35¢J(60-95¢K)

5.Hardness:<1.0ppm(CaCO3)

6.Silica:<0.5ppm

7.Carbon dioxide:<10ppm.EDI may be used at high CO2 conditions, but resistivity of purified water may be lower./P>

8.TOC:<0.5ppm 

9.Transition metals: Fe<0.01ppm,Mn<0.01ppm
